Payment and Shipping Policy

 

These policies apply when you place an order with My Hobby and Collectibles Sdn. Bhd. via the Website, www.myhobby.com.my. By placing your order through the Website, you agree to be bound by these policies. 

 

Capitalized terms used in this Payment and Shipping Policy, unless otherwise defined herein, shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms of Service on the Website at https://www.myhobby.com.my/legal/terms-of-service.

 

For the avoidance of doubt, this Payment and Shipping Policy shall constitute part of My Hobby Terms and Conditions, and shall be read together with other My Hobby Terms and Conditions. In the event of inconsistency between the Terms of Service and this Payment and Shipping Policy, save as otherwise set out expressly, this Payment and Shipping Policy shall prevail in respect of the matters concerning the payment for, shipping and delivery of the products ordered through the Website.

 

1. Prices and Shipping Costs

The prices for the items and products displayed at the Website exclude the shipping charges. 

The shipping cost is calculated based on the weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order, as per the charging scheme adopted by the logistics/courier service company. The shipping cost is clearly showed during the check-out process and it will be collected together with the purchase. 

2. Orders

 

2.1 Subject to stock availability 

We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our Website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we may not be able to fulfill all your items and orders at the time of purchase. In this instance, we will fulfill the available products to you, and contact you about whether you would prefer to await restocking of out-of-stock item or if you would prefer for us to process a refund (strictly limited to the out-of-stock item only). In no event shall we be liable for such stock discrepancy and inability to full your items and orders, whether due to the stock discrepancy or other reason which is not within our control.

 

2.2 Pre-Order

The Pre-Order item is a coming soon release item and hence it is NOT ready to ship out. The release date is mentioned in the item description, but the date is subject to change from time to time. 

In placing an order for Pre-Order item, you would have to make the payment for deposit (“the Deposit”). You shall not be allowed to cancel the order once it is placed and confirmed, and the Deposit will be forfeited if you fail to complete the order. After the item has arrived, a notification email will be sent to you requiring you to make the payment for the balance payment (“the Balance Payment”) for the Pre-Order item within 7 business days. 

If the Balance Payment is not paid within the said timeframe, you shall be deemed to have cancelled the order for the Pre-Order item immediately and the Deposit will be forfeited. Any additional cost and expense arising from or out of your cancellation (or deemed cancellation) of order shall be fully borne by you. 

In all events, you acknowledge and agree that the actual release of the Pre-Order item is uncertain, and it could be suspended or cancelled due to a reason which is not within our control. In no event shall we be liable for any change in release time and the non-availability of Pre-Order item.  

2.3 Back-Order

The Back-Order item is a coming soon restock item and hence it is NOT ready to ship out. The restock date is mentioned in the item description, but the date is subject to change from time to time. 

 

In placing an order for Back-Order item, you may be required to make payment for the Deposit. You shall not be allowed to cancel the order once it is placed and confirmed, and the Deposit will be forfeited if you fail to complete the order. After the item has arrived, a notification email will be sent to you requiring you to make the payment for the balance payment (“the Balance Payment”) for the Back-Order item within 7 business days. 

If the Balance Payment is not paid within the said timeframe, you shall be deemed to have cancelled the order for the Back-Order item immediately and the Deposit will be forfeited. Any additional cost and expense arising from or out of your cancellation (or deemed cancellation) of order shall be fully borne by you.

3. Payment Methods 

3.1 Credit or Debit Card 

You can enter your payment details at the time you place your order using a valid credit or debit card (VISA or Mastercard). Upon receiving your order, we will carry out a standard pre-authorization check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. The goods will not be dispatched until this pre-authorization check has been completed. Your card will be debited once the order has been accepted. 

 

3.2 Online Banking or Bank Deposit

For bank deposit method, kindly make the payment within 24 hours (save in respect of the Pre-Order and Back-Order items which Paragraph 3.4 below shall apply) and email or upload the payment slip or receipt with your Order Number for our verification. 

 

3.3 Pending Payment 

Save in respect of the Pre-Order and Back-Order items which Paragraph 3.4 below shall apply, order with the payment method of bank deposit or other pending payment methods which exceeds the payment period of 24 hours will be cancelled immediately.

 

3.4 Balance Payment 
For Pre-Order or Back-Order items, a notification will be sent over once the item has arrived. The Balance Payment must be paid within 7 business days. Order that exceeds the payment period will be cancelled immediately and the Deposit will be forfeited by us absolutely.

 

Please note that it shall be your responsibility to ensure that your last known email address or contact number as provided to us shall be accurate at all time. You shall ensure that we are kept updated with these details and all notification issued by us will be deemed to have been delivered if sent to that last known address or contact number.

 

4. Delivery Terms

4.1 Orders Processing Time 

 

When all the items in an order are in stock, the order will be processed within 3 business days. Orders will not be shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays, and shipment will only be carried out when the items are ready to ship out. 

 

Although we aim to deliver within the delivery timeframe estimated, the actual delivery may take longer time due to high volume of orders or unexpected events. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will attempt to notify you, but, to the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable to you for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses arising out of late delivery.

 

4.2 Transit Time Domestically 

 Generally, domestic shipments are in transit for 2 to 7 business days.

 For the avoidance of doubt, the Estimated Time as shown above is merely an indication which is not conclusive and binding.   

 

4.3 Transit Time Internationally

Generally, orders shipped internationally are in transit for 4 to 22 business days. This varies greatly depending on the logistics/courier service company and your location.

 

4.4 Delivery Time

Orders placed before 12 PM - MYT (UTC+08) will be dispatched the same day, otherwise, within the next business day. We operate on Monday - Sunday, except on national holidays at which time we will be closed. In all events, the orders can only be shipped out based on the standard business hours of the logistics/courier service company. 

 

4.5 Change of Delivery Address

You need to ensure that your shipping address as provided to us is accurate. We may allow your change of address for not more than one time before the order is dispatched. If there is any additional cost and expense incurred due to such change of address, such cost and expense shall be borne in full by you and you shall be required to top up the additional cost before the change of delivery may take effect. 

 

4.6 Delivery Address

Shipment may not be able to be made by the logistics/courier service company to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses. International shipping is subject to the address condition. We would contact you to obtain alternative address upon such occurrence. 

 

4.7 Items Out of Stock

If your order consists any item fully paid by you which is out of stock, or not available for any reason, we will wait for the item to be restocked before dispatching your order. In this event, the other items which are ready and available will be reserved while we await the relevant item. Alternatively, we may ship out the other items which are ready and available first upon your request provided always that you shall be fully responsible for all cost and expense for the separate shipments.


4.8 Delivery Time Exceeded

If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can assist to contact the logistics/courier service company for an investigation on it.

 

4.9 Self-Collection

Orders, which you have opted for self-collection, that are left uncollected at My Hobby retail store after 30 days, will be automatically returned to My Hobby warehouse. Any further arrangement will require additional processing fees to be borne by you.

 

4.10 Disclaimers

4.10.1 We shall not be accountable for setbacks due to customs delays and customs procedures. 

4.10.We will not be responsible for loss or damage to the product due to weather-related damage, shipment delay and etc. 

4.10.3 We will not be liable for accident or loss due to inaccurate shipping information provided and the customer would be responsible for all the shipping charges due to unreliable shipping information provided. 4.10.4 We will not make misleading assertions that are different from the original transaction amount mentioned on our receipts.

 

5. Tracking Notifications 

Upon dispatch, you will receive a tracking number or link from which you will be able to track the progress of your shipment based on the latest updates made available by the logistics/courier service company.

 

6. Parcel Damaged in Transit 

If you find out a parcel is damaged in-transit, please reject the parcel at the doorstep and get in touch with our customer service so that we can assist you to contact the logistics/courier service company to file a claim. We are not responsible for such occurrence, and we are merely to assist in contacting the logistics/courier service company. All claim shall be directly made against the logistics/courier service company.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

 

7. Parcel Lost in Transit

If you find out a parcel is lost in-transit, please get in touch with our customer service so that we can assist you to contact the logistics/courier service company to file a claim. We are not responsible for such occurrence, and we are merely to assist in contacting the logistics/courier service company. All claim shall be directly made against the logistics/courier service company. 

 

8. Import Duties and Taxes

 Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and My Hobby encourages you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us. If you refuse to pay the duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to My Hobby at your own expenses. You will receive a partial refund for the value of goods paid and need to deduct the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded. The partial refund is based on the current market value of the product.

 

9. Insurance

Parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the value as stated by the respective the logistics/courier service company. For high value item, you can request to purchase an insurance to cover your parcel upon placement of the order.
